FOOTBALL PREVIEW: A look at Woodbridge’s top returning players

Woodbridge’s Jacob Nash is back as one of the Warriors’ top offensive threats.

We continue our high school football coverage on OC Sports Zone with a look at the top returning players from Woodbridge, which opens the season on Friday, Aug. 17 with a home game against Cypress at University. Information provided by Coach Rick Gibson.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

JACOB NASH, WR/CB: The 6-0, 175-pound senior is a three-year starter with 59 receptions for 879 yards and nine touchdowns last season. On defense, he had 35 tackles and five interceptions playing cornerback.

ELYJAH RUSH, WR/DB: Rush, a senior, is a two-year starter. He had 22 receptions for 324 yards and on defense, he had 44 tackles at safety.

COLIN TURNER, LB: The 6-0, 175-pound senior is a three-year starter. He had 75 tackles at linebacker last season.

NIKOS REZA, RB: The 5-8, 190-pound Rez is a two-year starter. He had 472 yards rushing and seven touchdowns.

KYLE HURRY, WR: The 6-0, 170-pound senior had 23 receptions for 408 yards last year.
